A personal reading utility
Good reading.
A place to keep it.
Newsletter Intake is a single-user utility for accessing selected newsletters manually forwarded to a dedicated Gmail account, for an owner-controlled, private reading library.
- 01 / Select
Choose what is worth keeping
The owner manually selects and forwards newsletters into a separate intake mailbox.
- 02 / Retrieve
Authorize that mailbox
Google OAuth authorizes access to the dedicated account. Other mailboxes are outside this workflow.
- 03 / Read
Build a private library
The intended next step is to import chosen content into the owner’s private Karakeep library.
What Google access permits
The requested Gmail permission, https://mail.google.com/, permits reading, composing, sending, and permanently deleting email in the account that authorizes it. The intended routine use is to retrieve and organize the selected newsletters. This permission is broader than that routine use.
Only the dedicated intake account is intended to authorize this utility. The owner controls consent and can revoke it at any time in Google Account connections.
Setup in progress. This website documents the utility and its data practices. It does not connect to Gmail, accept signups, or display newsletters. OAuth setup is not complete, and the private library importer has not been deployed.
Personal use, clear boundaries
Newsletter Intake is operated by its sole account owner. It is not a public email or newsletter distribution service. Read the privacy policy for the planned handling of mail and credentials, and the terms of use for the scope of this personal utility.
