Newsletter Intake

Your reading stays private

Privacy policy

Effective October 30, 2026

Newsletter Intake is a personal utility operated by its sole account owner. It is intended to retrieve selected newsletters manually forwarded to a dedicated Gmail account and save chosen content in that owner’s private reading library.

Setup is in progress. This policy describes the intended authorized workflow; OAuth setup is not complete and the library importer has not been deployed. This public website does not itself access Gmail.

Data accessed and purpose

With the owner’s explicit Google OAuth consent, the utility may access message bodies, headers, sender and recipient information, dates, labels, and attachments in the dedicated intake account. That information is used to retrieve, identify, organize, and privately preserve the newsletters selected by the owner.

The requested https://mail.google.com/ scope permits reading, composing, sending, and permanently deleting email. The intended routine workflow is newsletter retrieval and organization. It does not require authorization of the owner’s main mailbox.

Storage and retention

Sharing, automation, and AI

Mail data may be processed by the owner’s explicitly authorized automation or AI agents to perform the newsletter workflow and transferred to the owner’s private library. It is not sold, used for advertising, or shared for unrelated purposes.

Google user data is not used to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine-learning models. Access, use, and transfer of information received from Google APIs must follow the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Control, revocation, and deletion

The owner can disconnect the utility through Google Account connections. Revocation stops future authorized API access; it does not delete source messages or copies already saved. The owner can delete source mail in Gmail, delete stored copies in the private library, and remove credentials from the secret manager separately.

This public website

The site publishes documentation only. It contains no Gmail messages or credentials, runs no application JavaScript, and installs no application analytics or advertising trackers. Cloudflare hosts the site and may process request information, including IP addresses, for delivery and security under its privacy policy.

Operator and policy updates

The operator and intended user are the same account owner. The support contact configured on the Google OAuth consent screen is the intake account controlled by that owner. This utility does not offer public registration or support for third-party accounts.

This policy will be updated before material changes to data access, storage, or sharing. The effective date above identifies the current version.
